“Being an educator is not just a job for me”, Mrs. Farha says. “This is what I was born to do.”
Known throughout her former school for her elaborate lessons that are often displayed on the walls of her classroom, Mrs. Farha is described by her former principal as the most requested teacher in his school. She is fun, but she also gets results. As the lead teacher for fifth grade at her last school, Mrs. Farha was credited with increasing 90 percent of her students reading scores to exemplary. She was nominated as “Wichita’s Distinguished Teacher Award” by parents at the magnet school where she last taught.
With her music education background, Mrs. Farha is perfectly equipped to teach music at CSA. As a violinist, she brings her passion for strings to the music curriculum.
“Being able to combine all of my loves — music and elementary education along with my Orthodox faith — is a dream come true,” says Farha.
